This species of salmon is Atlantic salmon but it is farmed in Chile. Compared to wild salmon, Atlantic salmon is known for its milder flavours, and its flesh is of a medium-firm texture. Salmon also has high fat content, producing its natural oily and rich flavour. It is a good source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, potassium and vitamins.
