Japanese Cucumber Salad – Sunomono

Ingredients : 

  1. Japanese cucumber
  2. Salt
  3. Wakame
  4. Rice vinegar
  5. Evaporated cane sugar
  6. Crab meat
  7. Sesame seeds

When you buy more than 1 unit, the packing measurement is by weight and not by number of bags. We will pack them together in a single bag to reduce plastic usage to be more environmentally friendly.

Storage Method:

To store whole cucumbers, first, wipe them clean once you receive them. Make sure they are completely dry before you store them. After that, wrap each cucumber individually in a paper towel. Next, place the wrapped cucumbers and tuck them inside a plastic bag. You don’t need to completely close it though, because a little airflow is a good thing. It helps to prevent condensation from collecting around the cucumbers. Place the cucumbers in the drawer of the fridge. They should be alright for about a week.

If your cucumbers are already chopped or sliced, simply wrap them in paper towels. You do not need to individually wrap each slice, but rather place a bunch inside one paper towel. Next, place them inside the plastic bag that is not completely closed. Put the cucumbers in the drawer of the fridge and use within a week.
