Description

These local dried shrimps are caught in Malaysia. They are then soaked in salt water and sun-dried.When added to a dish, it adds an umami taste and a little bit of a crunchy texture. It is high in vitamin B-12, fatty acids, and tryptophan.

Storage:

Keep the shrimps in an air-tight container and stored in the refridgerator.

Cooking:

To prepare them for cooking, rehydrate the shrimps by putting them in a bowl of water. Water should just be enough to covered the shrimps as throwing away the excess water can make it lose its flavours and nutrients. Leave it to soak.
