Benefits of Red Dates
Red dates are rich in Vitamin C, and the high fibre count contained inside is beneficial for the digestive health, helping to prevent constipation. Red dates also contain a number of disease-fighting antioxidants, such as carotenoids, phenolic acid and flavonoids, antioxidants that help to reduce the risk of several diseases. Red dates are usually cooked with porridge, with steamed rice or boiled in soup. Adults are recommended to eat about five dates in a sitting, about three to four times a week for good health.
